The application range and characteristics of different auxiliary gases are as follows:
(1)Oxygen. Mainly used for cutting carbon steel. The reaction heat of oxygen can greatly improve the cutting efficiency, and the oxide film produced during the cutting process can also increase the beam spectral absorption factor of the reflective material. The main applicable materials are rolled steel, carbon steel, high tension plate, tool plate, stainless steel, electroplated steel plate, copper, copper alloy, etc.

(2)Nitrogen. Mainly used for cutting stainless steel. Cutting with nitrogen gas can prevent the appearance of oxide film, so as to perform non-oxidation cutting. Oxidation-free cutting features: It can be directly welded, smeared, and corrosion-resistant. Mainly applicable plate: stainless steel, plated steel plate, brass, aluminum and aluminum alloy.

(3)AIR. Since the air can be provided directly by the air compressor, its price is relatively cheap. But the cutting efficiency is far less than that of oxygen, and the cutting ability is similar to that of nitrogen. The oxide film that appears during cutting prevents the coating layer from peeling off. The incision section is yellowish. The main applicable materials are aluminum, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, brass, galvanized steel and non-metal.

(4) Inert gas, argon. Compared with other gases, argon has a higher cost and is mainly used to prevent oxidation and nitriding. The incision section is whitish. Mainly used for titanium alloy and titanium etc.
