Laser Equipment Upgrades Laser equipment can be divided into three categories: laser marking machines, laser welding machines, and laser cutting machines. Let’s take a look at the operating principles of laser equipment below.

 Laser Equipment Upgrade

You Shun Recommended What are the differences among the three major categories of laser equipment?

Laser marking machine: It uses laser beams to create permanent markings on the surfaces of various materials. The purpose of marking is to expose the underlying material through the evaporation of the surface material, or to create surface material alterations—both chemical and physical—induced by light energy via engraving. “Carving” marks, or by using light energy to burn away part of the material, reveal the desired etching patterns and text.

Laser Welding Machine: It is also commonly referred to as a laser welding machine or laser welder. This is a machine used for laser material processing. Based on their operating modes, they are divided into laser mold welding machines, automatic laser welding machines, laser spot welding machines, and fiber‑transmission laser welding machines. Laser welding uses high‑energy laser pulses to locally heat materials over a small area. The energy of laser radiation is diffused into the material through thermal conduction, causing the material to melt and form a specific molten pool, thereby achieving the purpose of welding.

Laser equipment manufacturer Laser cutting machine: The laser emitted by the laser is focused into a high‑power‑density laser beam through an optical system. A laser beam is directed onto the surface of the workpiece to bring it to its melting or boiling point, while a high‑pressure gas coaxial with the beam blows away the molten or vaporized metal. As the beam moves relative to the workpiece, the material will eventually form a narrow slit, achieving the purpose of cutting.

Laser cutting uses an invisible beam of light in place of traditional mechanical blades. It features high precision, fast cutting speeds, the ability to cut any desired pattern, automatic nesting for material savings, smooth cutting, and low processing costs. It will gradually improve upon or replace traditional metal cutting machinery. The mechanical components of the laser cutting head do not come into contact with the workpiece, so the surface of the workpiece will not be scratched during operation. Laser cutting is fast, produces smooth and even cuts, and generally does not require subsequent processing. The heat-affected zone is small, the plate deformation is minimal, and the slit is narrow. 0.1 mm to 0.3 mm); the cut is free of mechanical stress and does not produce shear burrs; it offers high machining accuracy and excellent repeatability, while preserving the integrity of the material surface; CNC programming enables processing of any design, and large-format full sheets can be cut without opening the mold, thereby saving both time and costs.

In general, laser equipment is being used more and more widely today, and each type of device has its own distinct advantages in different fields.
